PROVIDENCE, KY — In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Health First activated a COVID-19 emergency response team last year that traveled to local communities increasing access to COVID-19 testing. Due to the recent rise in cases, Health First has reassembled the team and will begin increasing access to testing. The traveling screening unit will be at Clements Pharmacy located at 225 N. Morgan St. in Morganfield this Thursday, September 2nd from 9:00am-3:30pm.
Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles for the drive thru screening event. Bring a copy of your insurance card (if applicable) and driver’s license or social security card. If you do not have insurance, Health First has a kynector on staff that can provide insurance enrollment assistance. Rapid testing is performed which offers immediate results. Testing is open to all ages but parental consent is required for those under 18. You do not have to be a county resident to participate. No appointments are needed. Tests are available to those exhibiting symptoms or asymptomatic. If you suspect COVID-19 please follow CDC guidelines and take steps to help prevent the virus from spreading.
COVID Coordinator, Beth Devine, APRN, FNP-C will work with local health departments, county officials and community leaders to identify areas of need in the service region. By bringing this service directly to the residents, it provides more access to testing and removes barriers such as transportation.
Health First operates clinic locations in Calhoun, Clay, Earlington, Henderson, Owensboro, Morganfield, Princeton and Providence. Testing hours in office are Monday-Friday 9-11am and Monday-Thursday 1:30-3:30pm. We ask that you call the clinic upon arrival and remain in your vehicle for testing. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the safety of our patients and staff.
