Health First Opening in Your Neighborhood

MORGANFIELD, KY — Health First Community Health Center will begin seeing patients at their new location, 220 N. Morgan Street in Morganfield, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. They are taking appointments now. To become a new patient call (270) 285-1318. The clinics accepts both appointments and walk-ins.

The primary care clinic will offer family practice, behavioral health, medical nutrition therapy and laboratory services. The hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am-5pm, offering a late night on Tuesdays from 8am-7pm and 8am-3pm on Fridays. The office is closed from noon-1 pm for lunch.

The health center will be staffed with a nurse practitioner, behavioral health provider and support staff. Donna Hollis, APRN, FNP is a family nurse practitioner with 28 years of experience in the medical field. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University and earned board certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Donna is a Union County native, residing in Sturgis with husband Ronnie. Donna has been employed with Health First since 2018 at their Henderson location.

Hollis says, “There is a shortage of medical professionals in the county. I see many patients that drive to Henderson for their healthcare. I am glad to meet the needs of my community by offering great care, close to home.”

Health First accepts all major commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and KCHIP. A sliding fee scale discount program is offered for uninsured and under insured patients who meet the federal eligibility guidelines. These guidelines are based on income and household size.  The funding for this program is made possible through federal grant funds. Health centers provide services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

The mission of the non-profit is to provide high quality, affordable health care and improve the well-being of our communities.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, January 28th from 4-6pm. The public is invited to attend.
