EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Current certification in KY as a CMA or SRNA. CPR Certification required. Must have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a clinical CMA/SRNA and have the ability to work with staff and patients. Must be able to follow instructions and perform high standard clinical procedures. Empathetic and passionate about patient care. EMR experience is preferred. Bi-lingual preferred. On the job training provided. Travel to other clinics to cover absences as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination
- Assist in gathering quality measures and record information in the electronic medical records system
- Will assist provider and other licensed or certified staff members with patient care within the SRNA/CMA scope of practice, to include but not limited to measuring vital signs, giving injections, performing blood draws,
- wound care, immunizations, and handling medical emergencies
- Perform prior authorizations for prescriptions and referral appointments
- Triage patients, take phone messages and return phone calls as needed
- Assist with calling patients regarding lab results and additional testing or appointments
- Re-stock medical supplies in exam room
